A cozy coastal city-builder

Grow olives, lemons and wheat on terraced hills. Turn them into flour, cheese and pastries. Lay roads, place houses, and watch a small Mediterranean town take shape at whatever pace suits you.

There is no fail state and nothing is on a timer. Flat Peaks is a builder you can put down mid-thought and pick up a week later, drawn in the flat colours and soft grain of a 1960s travel poster.

What you do

• Farm the hills. Olive groves, lemon orchards and wheat fields, each with their own rhythm.
• Run the production chains. Wheat becomes flour becomes bread; milk becomes cheese; the chains deepen as the town grows.
• Plan the roads. Every building needs connecting, and road upkeep comes out of your budget.
• Balance the books. A period budget tracks income against upkeep, so growth has to pay for itself.
